The countdown: Success in righteous media
The success of any movement, depends on the foundation of that movement, and whether or not those involved, see, and stay with the vision of what the movement entails. The movement must also be adaptable to its environment, ready and able to embrace innovations and sound guidance, that would enhance its productivity and outreach as they come along.
Let’s take for example the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. From its beginnings, the vision, purpose, and mission has always been the same. To exalt the human family. It has always been founded on the teachings of, or rather, Jesus Christ Himself. In an ever changing environment, both spiritually and physically, the church has adapted to meet its worldwide growth, by increased involvement in its people and resources, thus successfully bringing together other cultures to unite in its vision and purpose. With new technological advances, the church has utilized these resources, and has rapidly evolved to meet its worldwide needs. This is a very important element, and has added to the Church’s success as a most successful movement!
Taking the church as a model, with all of its growth, and the growth of its members, one should also expect a growth in the arts of the church, for good arts are the fruits of a good people. As members of the Church continue to grow, the need for more positive media reflecting the faith of their fathers can easily be seen. As a church we can see this artistic renaissance developing more and more within our midst. There are many good people doing much good work to continue to establish these foundations in the arts for good media.
We are now in a period of countdown, when all of these things and more will be coming together in a grand, majestic, and significant way. The process will more than likely be gradual and steady, but it is coming, and we as Latter-Day Saints will bear the fruits and rejoice, as we move forward expressing our talents, living our religion, and prospering in the abundant tender mercies of the Lord. It is my desire that many more will find the courage, climb aboard, and assist in bringing this great work and art movement to greater light than ever before.
