24th FUN

OK. So I have this friend who is really likes JR and she's taken me to a concert and right away we both fell in love with Bret. (He's much cuter in person than on the CD cases) anyway so she told me about htis great site where you guys share fun stuff and facts to feed your interest. (That's why I've suddenly popped up in case you're wondering where I came from.)
ANYWAY~ She took me to the 24th of July parade and we found this great spot in front of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building (in the shade ahh). Just as I was comfy in my fold-up chair she dragged me out of the shade and up adn down wrong road after wrong road of floats and bands and Cheerleaders in green little outfits, looking for Jericho road. (I saw everything before it went down the road, if you want a fast parade go find it, don't wait for it to come to you.) Well, we finally found the right road and the cute silver and black stage (with those big stair things that looked like they'd be fun to slide down) But low and behold there was no Jericho Road. "They're up singing the National Anthem at the KSL stage" said stage manager woman "They'll be back in a minute". Well my freind didn't want to miss them (and I didn't want to chase her while she was chasing the JR float down the street asking for them to stop for a photo shoot,) so we walked all the way to the KSL stage (all the way up the road) and low and behold we missed them. So what goes up must come down and we did, walk all the way back to their float I mean.
WE actually found them this time (I'll Have you know I blistered like never before). They were hanging on this golf cart in front of their float flirting with Neleh off of SURVIVOR (Bret at the time) and we just stood their staring at them. (She, out of amazement and I, because it felt as if the energizer bunny stopped.) She just kept repeting "there they are, there they are, there they are". And I listened.
She was finally all like "Abe, can we get our picture with the group?"
Abe turned around with this freakout ish 'SHe knows my name?" look on his face and was all like "umm sure".
Well, got our photo with them with us in the middle of the four. Neleh took the picture and I certainly hope she photography class because we haven't gotten them developed yet, but I'd liked to have eveyone and their heads included. I bet she did though because she was really nice and seemed like the kind of person who can focus six people in one eye. (We also got our photo with her but her friend took that one and my friend wishes it was Bret so that maybe his hotness or something would rub off on it. she would never wash it, But who washes a camera. I certainly would if strangers were clicking away at mine. You never know what kind of dead skin flakes are falling off of them.) :wink:

P.S. My friend actually asked them if we could ride on the float with them until we reached the memorial building.( I do't know what we'd do. Dance?) They tried hard to find a nice way to say No. Eventualy I restrained her. But not before Abe got that freakoutish look again. Whew I bet they were glad when we left. I hope Bret got back to chatting with Neleh. I bet she asked to ride on the float too. Maybe they cut a deal and she met up with after the memorial building, or maybe she was trying to focus six people into one eye and she fell off before they reached us. Hummm.... did you see her?
