So i read on the JR website, and they said they will be appearing on the 24th of July parade. I am so psyched because we go to that every year and get to sit in the KSL channel 5 area because my bro-inlaw works there, and so we get GREAT seats to see the parade. Just thought i would bring that up for fun.

Thanks. It should be way fun! There have been a few times we have been on tv. Last year half of my family was, so it is pretty fun to sit there. Hope more people come, its alot of fun!!!!

We have been a few times to the parade but I am not real into parades ... I mean some of the floats are pretty and all but to me ... once you've seen one you've seen 'em all :wink: ... Fireworks are the same to me ... every year I wonder why so many people like fireworks! :lol: We thought about trying to go this year but I am just not able to take the heat this year ... I think that is related to all the health problems I have been having. I am very concerned about being able to go out to Roosevelt for the Uintah Celebration in August when JR will be performing. If it is going to be so hot or even hotter than it is now we might have to pass on it and I want to see them perform so much!
Take your camera to the parade ... maybe you can get some good pics of them. If we go Roosevelt we are hopeing to borrow a good camera from someone so we can TRY to get some good pics.
I am still :mrgreen: (green) with envy though :!: LOL
I will definitely take my camera. I hope i can make a big scene so they see me!!!! :D

We were gonna make happy birthday posters for Dave on the 4th but we never got around to it..I shoulda!! nobody had any posters or anything!..ah well..if I go Ill probably make some this time too :)

Hope more people are going to the parade this Wednesday morning to see Jericho Road. We are there every year, and so this is just even more of a reason to go!

EVERYONE THAT GOES TO THE PARADE ... HAVE FUN AND STAY COOL! EVERYONE THAT HAS THE DAY OFF ... :P LOL I don't work but my roomie/cousin does. What a drag!

Well the parade was alot of fun. Those who went will probably agree. Except for that is was so hot. But whats new! Now i wish that whoever was driving that float that Jericho Road was on, would have slowed down a bit. They flew by us too fast. But i got some pictures and so hopefully they turn out good. Justin saw me taking a picture, so i think he posed just for me! lol! But it was fun! Me and my family were on tv several times, so those of you that watched the parade or the news, might have seen us, but didnt know it!!!! They also sang the National Anthem before the parade, so if you were watching the news in the morning, you would have seen them. I recorded it all, because im a crazy fan!!!! (No i really tape it every year, but this i had a good reason too). So hopefully i will get pics on John's website soon! :)

The guys really did an excellent job!! I was at THE very end of the parade, I'm talkin I heard the very last note they sang and those guys are so amazing. They were still so enthusiastic right down to the last of us. It could just be me, but they were singing a song called "Conviction of the Heart" and I had never heard it before. So when the guys said, "Sing along if you know the words", I found it very funny and didn't even realize I was just standing there thinking about that and simply staring at them with a dopey smile. 8O Then I became aware there was suddenly nobody really around me just as they were passing. Then I noticed Bret was looking right at me quite amusedly cause I was just standing there alone staring blankly. Oops :oops: Well, at least I got to see them up close and everything!! The poor guys practically collapsed once it was all over, having once again given it their all. JR are the best!!! :lol:

It is a great song and Kenny Loggins is wonderful!
Nope, they didn't sing that at the 4th of July show, but they did sing it on their tour in May. It should also be on True North when it comes out.
Hey well, there ya go, that explains it all. Why they asked for us to sing along and why Bret looked at me so funny, I would have too!! :wink: How funny, that really should have clicked for me before, because I do know that song. I guess you can tell I never made it to any of their tour shows, and that it truly was very hot outside. :D
Oh yeah ... I loved it when they did it in concert. It was great but being closer to Kenny Loggins generation than most others in the audience we knew all the words and everyone around us was like WHAT? LOL
The guys did awesome on the parade!! Me and my aunts watched it in the morning and we watched it afterwards because my CRAZY aunt Lori recorded it. :wink: But Its all good because we were on the news abunch of times!! Jericho Road waved at us!! It was soooo cool! 8)

"CRAZY"... Thanks sweetie! jk! Im not crazy. You know that i tape anything with JR on it. Plus i tape it every year. It was alot of fun. And i also think they did a fabulous job singing. I love that song, and its funny, i listen to Kenny Loggins sing "Conviction of the heart", and i see myself doing their little hand actions they do. But oh well. :)

Maybe it won't be so hot next year for the parade ... but then again Jr probably won't be in it again next year so I probably wouldn't want to go anyway! That would be just my luck!
