I havent heard anything... they werent paid for the last tour and lost a lot of money on it... even had problems with money being lost from my own stakes concert and not recovered... long story... not sure if they will be back, although a lot of people were affected, moved and converted by the boys. They worked really hard, and were real sick for a lot of the time... The conditions werent good and it was a tough tour... great results but I would say the finances left a bad taste in their mouth. I was left unemployed for months too afterwards so I couldnt make up the difference, but if I could I would... and I would pay for them to come over every year if I could!!!

Love the guys so much... They are good guys, with a great message... but unfortunately they have to make a living or a loss... and with kids and wives, and also saving for futures, who can blame them if they did more safer shows in the US?!

sophie were you touring with them??
cos if i remember you were at the crawley gig and you were congratulated at the end or sommat?

i cant believe they werent paid for the tour what happened to my ticket money???

Yes I toured with them as their promoter/tour manager etc...

It is always difficult when a band is trying to break into a new area, as the 'Road were trying to do here in the UK... many people hadn't heard of them, and due to budget constraints, we had to rely on word of mouth and other people doing the promoting for us. This, along with the costs involved in flying over 7 people from different locations in the US, then flying us all back and forth to Ireland, hiring tons of sound equipment, a 'tour bus' (minibus stacked to the roof with merchandise, sound stuff and 8 people - very cosy!!) along with costs to get us from the south of the UK, to Scotland and back again, buying the merchandise to bring over etc were just some of the costs the guys had to pay out of their cut. Obviously when the guys are in the USA, this is normally easier for them as at least they dont have to take so much time out of their lives, and pay for so much stuff that is much more expensive here anyway...

And then, as it was really their first exposure to the UK, and many people didnt know what to expect, attendance at the concerts was good, (although in one place, despite the organiser doing everything he could to get people to attend, he wasnt allowed to talk within his Stake about it, respecting the wishes of the Stake Pres, we only got about 50 people at that show... it has had great results, but left a big gaping hole in someones bank balance im afraid!) but it could have been a whole lot better... the people organising did the best they could, and if the guys did do another tour, EVERYONE who did come to a concert said they would definitely tell all their friends and bring lots more people along next time... The guys did a great job and a great show... the best ive ever seen... but I think many organisers got stung with venue hire costs and then all the other costs as ticket sales werent as high as expected...

And unfortunately, although the individual sponsors loved the guys and loved the concert, everything always comes down to money and unfortunately, for the boys, for me and for them it may well be a case of "once bitten..."

But who knows - the guys may be back over sometime soon... but I have been told I am not going to be a part of that, although I did my best putting together a tour all by myself with no help whatsoever from anyone, I wasnt taken too seriously and as a newbie to the showbiz life, I cant do what the guys want from a tour manager so no use asking me any info!!! ;o)
