If you like amazing a cappella....
The Standards are an incredibly talented primarily a cappella group from Idaho. They have a new album coming out on May 27th. It's entitled "Brand New Past" and can be pre-ordered on their website (www.thestandards.com). It is an amazing album. I promise you won't be disappointed!! The group usually does strictly a cappella but this album includes some songs with instruments. Many of the songs were written by members of the group but the best song on the album is an a cappella cover of "I Can't Break Away." It will blow you away. Just a heads up on an upcoming release from a fellow LDS group.... 8) Check them out!!

Its about time theses guys came out with a new album!
They're pretty cool, but I prefer other acappella groups like Eclipse and Octappella. But theses guys are still great.
When the world gets in my face I say have a nice day
I saw on of their cd's on the bargain rack at Deseret Book. I think it was 2 or 3 dollars. I'll have to go buy it because I love a'cappella music.

Well aren't I just the luckiest person on earth...The Standards came to our school last year and performed! It was GREAT! Then that Sunday Hil saw them at our church building...hehe...Their albums are great! I only have 2, is that all they have?

Yeah, the concert at our school was pretty tight! They were good! Is the youngest brother, Quinn, home from his mission yet?
These guys are great i'v met them before they are great. they are my favorite after Jericho Road I think I'v met them as many times as JR. yes Quinn is off his mission as of july 11, 2002. they have 2 cds now 3 with them all brothers because they have a lot of cds that have different members that use to be in the group but you can't get those cds now they dont sell them anymore.

There is a new album out at Deseret Book called A Cappella Spotlight. The Standards have a few songs on it, as well as Eclipse, and a few other a'cappella groups. I haven't heard the CD yet, but I've heard Eclipse's new song from it, Through It All, which was written by Tyler Castleton...that alone is reason enough to buy the CD, the song is amazing!
Here's a link to check out the CD on deseretbook.com

The Standards! I remember when they came to Moses! I thought they were great and I bought their Cds. I still listen to them sometimes. At their concert they did these crazy cool dance to "Dance of the Mamba" with like masks and they were all black and glow in the dark and stuff, it was pretty neat.
